こんにちは。pepeneeです。もうすぐ今年も終わりますね。今日はつれづれなるままに2023年の総括をしたいと思います。

①母が大腸がんで入院、手術をしたこと。
①My mother was hospitalized and underwent surgery for colon cancer.
2023年の夏は、私の母が当時75歳で大腸がんが発覚し、大きめの病院に入院し、大腸がん切除の手術を受けたことから始まりました。母と検査結果を聞いて、思わず手を握りしめ合い、”今までありがとう。産んでくれてありがとう。”と涙交じりに話したのを覚えています。結果、大腸がんは簡単に切除され、母は2週間程で日常に帰ってきました。”ご飯まだか？”と話す母の今の現在は、もう笑っちゃうほど元気です。
The summer of 2023 started with my mother, who was 75years old at the time, was diagnosed with colon cancer and underwent surgery to remove the cancer. When my mother and I heard the test results, I couldn't help but clasp each other's hands, and I remember crying and saying, "Thank you for everything. Thank you for giving birth to me. " As a result, the colon cancer was easily removed, and my mother returned to her daily life in about two weeks. "have I eaten yet?"My mother says, and she's so energetic that I can almost laugh.
②家族が入る樹木葬のお墓を買う。
②I bought a wooden grave for my family.
3月頃、100万円以下で樹木葬に近い小さなお墓を買いました。地元のお寺さんで、広告が出ていました。可愛いお墓です。樹木葬とは、欧米発祥の亡くなられた方の骨を大きな木の下に埋めて、その木を祭るお墓です。それを日本版に自然の中で小さなお墓にお骨を入れるように改良してありました。自己愛性パーソナリティ障害の気を持つ父は、外出が緊張するみたいですが、無事施工、購入まで行いました。これで、pepeneeとその家族のお墓は確保されました。
Around March, I bought a small grave similar to a tree funeral for less than 1 million yen. There was an advertisement at a local temple. It's a cute grave. Tree burial is a grave that originated in Europe and America, where the bones fo the deceased are buried under a large tree and the tree is enshrined. The Japanese version has been improved so that the bones are placed in a small grave surrounded by nature. My father, who suffers from narcissistic personality disorder, seems nervous about going out, but the installation and purchase went smoothly. The grave of Pepenee and his family is now secured.
③夏、USJに行く。
③In the summer, I went to Universal Studios Japan.
今年の夏に、当時のパートナーとユニバーサルスタジオジャパンに行きました。その顛末は、ブログ、”ユニバで外国人さんとしっかり会話した話。”でも詳しく書きました。私の英語デビューは、この日がスタートとなりました。
This summer, I went to Universal Studios Japan with my then-partner. I wrote about the story in detail on my blog, "A story about a conversation I had with a foreigner at USJ."My English debut started on this day.
④ブログ読者数が14人になる。
